Hi! Jesse here.
I’ve been blogging since 2005. THAT was a long time ago. Blogger was the big thing back then and I ran that blog for close to nine years before transitioning over to Tumblr.
Yep, it’s pretty obvious I’m dating myself here.
I started writing a lot about tech on that blog- mobile phones, laptops, computers… I’m a big computer geek at heart, so it came naturally to me. It’s something I’ve always had a passion for.
I even had a stint as a paid writer for a couple of popular mobile technology blogs back in the day.
I also loved to write a lot about my running adventures.
I ran my first 5K race in 2007 after not having run since Cross Country in high school. That inspiration came after watching my little sister complete her first half marathon the year before. I loved running all over again.
I’ve come a long way since that first 5K. Fast forward to present day and here I am chasing my first 100 mile ultra marathon finish. I came close in 2018, but I’m not even close to giving up. I’ve been running ultras now since my first trail race back in 2014.
The joy of a long distance run for hours and hours on end – I can’t get enough of it.
Running has been a big part of my life since running my first 5K race in 2007. You’ll probably read a lot about my running adventures on this site.
…and I’ll probably write a bit about tech… just like the old days.
I hope that through this journey I inspire people to never be afraid to seek the unknown, to open your mind to believing you are greater than what you think you are, and to know that failure is an opportunity for learning and not simply an excuse to throw up your arms and not move forward with your dreams.
