DJI Osmo Pocket Review: Say Goodbye To Shaky Running Videos

by Jesse Mendoza

I’m not much of a video or photography expert, but I’d like to think I can tell a good photo or video when I see it. I like to take the time to shoot a decent photo for, say, my Instagram page because I’d like to be able to enjoy it a few years from now. Lately, I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect hand-held stabilizer for my…

My first travel kayak bass tournament fishing the My first travel kayak bass tournament fishing the beautiful East/West Harbors on the shores of Lake Erie in Lakeside Marblehead, OH. This was the Buckeye Kayak Fishing Trail’s last event of their season.

Got slightly nervous as the field of anglers blew up to 62 anglers in the last couple of days before Saturday! Still, I managed to land in the top 20 for 15th place overall with 78.25 inches considering I’ve never fished this area before.

Lots of fun and looking forward to coming back here again someday!

Not too shabby of a placing for this past weekends Not too shabby of a placing for this past weekends 5-day virtual bass tournament. Placed 4th out of 9 anglers in my region. A beautiful 16.75 inch bass hit my bait in the very last hour of the last day of this tournament. Just what I needed to move me up a couple of places.

My region for this tournament included Wisconsin, so I took the kayak up to beautiful Lake Beulah in East Troy, Wi. to practice for another tournament and managed to find some measuarable fish to help me out.

It’s been a grind in this summer heat, but as long as they're biting, I'm not complaining...

I missed 1st place and a little pockey money by 1 I missed 1st place and a little pockey money by 1 inch in my weekend virtual bass tournament against my fellow competitor from TX! The 3rd guy from PA didn't check in.

I thought for sure my 6 fix limit that included two monster 18.5 inch bass would leave me in a good spot, but his 100.24 inches was just enough to squeak by.

These virtual catch-photo-release tournaments (this one was nation-wide) allow you to fish any public water for this particular day. The most inches in a 6 fish limit takes the cake.

All fish safely released.

Well that was fun. Came into Grandmas Marathon und Well that was fun. Came into Grandmas Marathon undertrained due to a gnarly ankle turn I took during a trail run back in April (haven’t run trail since) that has taken a while to get 100%. Fortunately, the lovely run/walk interval my friend @sonjmarie1979 had going, kept my cranky ankle in check. A beautiful course and so fun to join in with friends for the weekend. And congrats to @_readingwithcats for her 3rd marathon finish!
